Mike Cook’s Bonneville Shootout has been postponed for 2014, and the Triumph Castrol Rocket streamliner will wait to make its 400 mph attempt as a result.
The Bonneville Shooutout is an invitation-only gathering of very, very serious land speed competitors at the world-famous salt flats. However, organizers can’t do anything about the weather, as people attending Speed Week earlier this year discovered.
The Shootout will run on Oct. 5-10 now – unless it gets canceled again due to the weather.
