With WSBK rookie Chaz Davies headed to the BMW factory team next season, Leon Haslam was out of a ride. However, Visordown is reporting Haslam has done just fine for himself.
According to the British mag, Haslam has signed a contract with Ten Kate Honda. This move doesn’t come as a shock – it was rumoured for a while.
Ten Kate Honda could be thinking it’s time to beef up their team for 2013; Jonathan Rea is filling in for Casey Stoner in MotoGP this season. Perhaps Ten Kate thinks they’d better have another top-tier rider, in case they lose Mr. Rea’s services in the near future?
It might be the way Canadian Superbike is heading with virtually only BMW fielding bikes.
Remember that Aprilia-engined Norton that was supposed to run at the Isle of Man this year? Almost the same idea.
The lines are getting blurred…
I didn’t know BMW was sponsored by Suzuki but I guess they are according to your picture.
Yikes! Grabbed that from his site! Guess he had an out of date one on there.
You’d have to admit, though, it would be a very effective way of cutting road-racing costs!
