The Canadian Superbike series has announced its schedule for 2012, with six races spread over five venues and title sponsorship from Mopar, Chrysler Corp.’s accessory/performance division.

The series opens at Shannonville Motorsport Park near Belleville, Ontario, then to St-Eustache in Quebec, Shubenacadie in Nova Scotia, back to Quebec for a return to the fabulous Circuit Mont-Tremblant at St-Jovite, then back to Ontario for a double-header at Mosport.

Inexplicably the series conflicts twice with RACE regional events in Ontario, with both the Shubie and Mt-Tremblant being placed against previously-scheduled and long-announced regionals at Shannonville. As if there was enough business these days for the various series’ to start sniping at each other’s turf …

  • June 23-24, Shannonville Motorsports Park
  • July 7-8, Autodrome St-Eustache
  • July 21-22, Atlantic Motorsports Park (Shubenacadie)
  • August 11-12, Circuit Mont-Tremblant
  • August 25-26, Mosport International Raceway

  1. Chatting with Chris Chappel at the MC Show, the event conflicts do not appear to be insurmountable BUT as you said, why were they there in the first place ? I’m assuming that the other venues available dates were already locked in ?
