It was a simple enough plan: Show up at the now local Nova Scotia Shubenacadie track, ride around at a leisurely pace for two races, score second place (x 2) and collect some easy points for the Team CMG CBR250 media challenge series.
To get the word out about its new CBR250R race series, Honda Canada decided to make a journo class. Journalists racing each other on someone else’s bikes – what could possibly go wrong?

I often wonder after competing in a race weekend, that if I had known ahead of time everything that would happen that weekend, would I still have gone out? I guess not knowing must be one of the draws …
However, there are tracks to which I’d just as soon give a miss, and consequences I’d just as soon avoid (such as the inevitable family consequences of too many summer weekends not doing things around the house …) Therefore, my vintage racing is usually reserved for two events per year at the Shannonville Quinte TT and the Vintage Festival at Mosport .
