Watch the Daytona 200 for free this weekend, online

Racing fans, you can take in the Daytona 200 action this weekend at, at no charge.

This year’s Daytona 200 is once again sanctioned by the American Sportbike Racing Association, and features 600-class machines. There’s $175,000 in purse money up for grabs this year, and the race will be a 57-lap affair.

Michael Barnes is the returning champion (Canadian race fans should recognize Barnes from his occasional rides in CSBK); Danny Eslick is back, hoping to win his third Daytona 200, after being suspended last year. Darren James (pictured) is the lone Canadian entry, aboard a Yamaha.

Qualifying starts today (Friday); the race runs Saturday at 1 PM EST.

Follow this link to on Saturday to watch the racing action, and rejoice that you saved the $50 admission fee to Daytona International Speedway. Although, the weather down there will almost certainly be much better than here in Canada.
