Confederate unveils P51 Combat Fighter

Confederate has unveiled their P51 Combat Fighter, and predictably, it looks like nothing else on the market today.

The Combat Fighter draws from the worlds of performance and custom design and even throws a touch of retro in, with a girder front fork. It’s powered by an air-cooled pushrod 2163 cc V-twin motor, with more than 200 hp and 170 ft-lb of torque, mated to a five-speed transmission.

The chassis is made from 6061-T6 aluminum to keep weight down. The rear shock is positioned on the left side of the bike in a laydown position. The front and rear wheels are both made of carbon-fibre; there’s a 120/70-ZR19 Pirelli tire up front, and a 240/45-ZR17 Pirelli in rear.

The bike weighs 226 kg, but their site doesn’t say whether that’s a wet weight or dry weight. You can head on over there for all the rest of the marketing and specs.

The Combat Fighter will be available in an aluminum finish, or with a black anodized finish, costing $113,900 and $119,500 respectively.

    • Uh, they’re both made in ‘Murica (unless you consider the P51s with the Rolls Royce engine?)?

I would love to ride this bike to see if all their chassis design lived up to its hype, but you’re right about the looks. They took their interesting previous designs and butchered them.
