Pramac Racing’s Andrea Iannone has been given a penalty point for his Phillip Island crash into Honda’s Dani Pedrosa.
Yesterday, MotoGP race direction announced they’d give Iannone the penalty for the incident that caused both Pedrosa and Iannone to retire from the race. Iannone didn’t appeal the decision, and the ruling is final.
Iannone is currently sitting in ninth overall in the championship, with 102 points, while Pedrosa is sitting in fourth, with 230 points to third-place Jorge Lorenzo’s 247.
