Last month, we told you Harley-Davidson was likely working on a new trike called the Freewheeler. Now they’ve confirmed that bike is coming to Canada, along with another new machine.
According to their press release, Harley-Davidson’s new Freewheeler is in a smaller, easy-handling size – we assume that’s in comparison to its predecessor, the Tri-Glide. You can read the rest of the details of the new trike on their website. It has a $31,619 MSRP in Canada.
Harley-Davidson is also bringing their new Electra Glide Ultra Classic Low to Canada at a $28,439 MSRP. This bike is essentially the same as the Electra Glide Ultra Classic, but the suspension has been revamped to give riders a lower seat height (686 mm, compared to the regular Ultra Classic’s 695 mm).
Other updates to the lineup include a new braking system for the Softtail lineup. The Softtails now have a fixed four-piston front caliper, new master cylinder and new 300 mm disc. The upgrades supposedly improve responsiveness and reduce braking effort by 40 per cent at the lever.
Improve braking by 40%?! Remind me not to get in front of an older model!
It’s the lever effort that’s reduced 40 per cent.
