Local boy Burke Foster was the top gun in the Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association’s visit to Fort St. John, BC.

Foster, racing in Pro Modified, took the win in the Blackjack’s Roadhouse Pro Modified category. Not only did he get first overall in his category, he also set the best personal ET (a smokin’ 6.842 seconds) and the top speed for the weekend (191.89 mph). The win (Foster’s first at his home track) leaves him atop the points standings in the Pro Modified division.

In other divisions, Bruce Romak (another hometown boy) took the Hot Harley class win, Al Miles and the FFR Racing team won the Screamin’ Eagle Pro Dragster class and Jeff Pitre of Yellowknife won both the Screamin Eagle V-Rod Destroyer class (his second win in a row in that event) and the Screamin’ Eagle Stock XL class.

The next CMDRA national event is in Edmonton on Sept. 6-7.
