Moto Guzzi’s new cruiser is supposedly getting pretty close to market, and Italian site Motociclismo has published a list of specifications for the bike.

Of course, since we didn’t get these numbers from the factory, there could be some errors.

Motociclismo is claiming the new 1400 is a bored-out version of its existing 1200 motor, putting out 96 hp at 6500 rpm and 120 Nm (12.3 kgm) at 2750 rpm, with a six speed transmission, EFI, and shaft drive.

The bike runs on an 18-inch wheel in front, and a 16-inch unit in back. Braking comes from four-piston radial brake calipers in front, with no word on the rear brake. The machine will have ABS.

The new California is supposed to be 2445 mm long, with a 740 mm seat height (720 mm with optional lowered seat). Dry weight is supposed to be 322 kg, wet weight is supposed to be 337 kg. The gas tank holds 20.5 litres.

Supposedly, production is starting soon and the bikes will be in European showroom floors shortly. Whether that’s true or not, it’s hard to say, but it’s likely going to be a while before this machine makes it to North America either way. That’s OK – we’re used to waiting.
