TT coming in 3D!

Heck, we want to see the film, and all we’ve seen so far is the poster.

The Isle of Man TT is one of the world’s most historic and well-known motorcycle races, so it only makes sense to make a documentary movie about it.

It makes even better sense to make it in 3-D, so that’s what film production and financing company CinemaNX is doing. The movie, named TT3D: Closer to the Edge, is directed by Richard De Aragues, and is in post-production right now; it’s scheduled to be released in April.

The movie’s IMDB page says the movie is "A story about freedom of choice, the strength of human spirit and the will to win. It’s also an examination of what motivates those rare few, this elite band of brothers who risk everything to win."

Race rivalries play prominently through the movie, with the competition between Guy Martin and Ian Hutchinson a strong focus. Somewhat inexplicably, actor/singer Jared Leto is doing the movie’s narration.

  1. OH YEAH

I like to watch the IoM from a safe distance as there is no way I would have the guts? lack of imagination? to actually race that hard, at that speed, through all those near death experiences … well, other than doing the MBSR of course, where one could die from ridicule.
