Race results: Canadians at Assen

This year, there are two Canadians in the World Superbike circus — Stacey Nesbitt in the Womens European World Junior Cup, and Braeden Ortt in Supersport.

Neither racer had a good weekend at Assen. Nesbitt had a DNF, retiring on the eighth lap. She’d qualified third in the women’s class (remember, they run concurrently with male WJC riders). Her fastest lap was 1’55.165. You can see the rest of the WJC race timesheet here.

In World Supersport, Braeden Ortt had a crummy weekend as well. He failed to qualify for Superpole, and as a result, never made it past free practice. He’s the youngest rider to ever enter World Supersport, so this year will be a learning process for sure.
