The motorcycle teaser. It’s a bit of a scourge – pushed to painful limits by motorcycle manufacturers that know that content-hungry media will post each and every teaser until we either don’t care when the model is finally unveiled or we’ve stopped reporting it. It’s a bit of a double-edged sword to wield, but not if you use it sparingly.
That credit we’ll give to Victory who are currently in the teasing phase of its upcoming ‘Octane’ project, promising a focus on horsepower with its new 1200 cc, 60 degree v-twin that first popped up last year in the company’s Project 156 Pikes Peak special. They’ve not only spared us a barrage of teasers but they’ve also got an early release date of just over a week away.
So here’s the latest video teaser with Mike Song – lead designer who reckons that they’re about to bring the American motorcycle into the 21st Century. I guess we’ll find out on the 19th.
