Motorcycle Show Season Is Almost Here!

It’s the not-quite-so-wonderful time of the year, for the Canadian motorcyclist. Our bikes are mostly put away. Some of us are coping by wrenching, others by watching Supercross racing, or old roadracing highlights (MotoGP and World Superbike are still a few weeks away). Or maybe you’re catching up on adventure-travel YouTube channels while you drain the last of the leftover egg nog.

Take heart! The Canadian motorcycle show season is about to start, and several of the big shows are back on the schedule for 2024, including the Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver MMIC shows, which have been off the calendar ever since COVID-19 wiped out the show circuit.

Here’s a rough schedule of this year’s show circuit:

North American International Motorcycle Supershow (aka the “first Toronto show) Running at the International Centre near Pearson airport, this show’s dates are January 5-7. More info here.

Vancouver Motorcycle Show Back in business at the Tradex facility in Abbotsford, British Columbia. This is the first MMIC show of the year; you can probably expect fewer exhibitors on this western tour than you’ll see at the Toronto and Montreal events. The 2024 dates are January 12-14; more deets here.

Edmonton Motorcycle Show The MMIC continues its swing through the west. At the Edmonton Expo Centre, this year’s dates are January 26-28. More info here.

Calgary Motorcycle Show The MMIC’s last stop in the west. February 2-4 at the BMO Centre in Calgary’s Stampede Park. Tickets and other info at the show’s website here.

Toronto Motorcycle Show This MMIC show is one of the two busiest industry shows of the year. Think more OEM displays, fewer wizened ex-bikers selling beef jerky and belt buckles. Running February 16-18 at the Enercare Centre in Exhibition Place. Keep an eye on the website for announcements of the special promos the show usually runs.

Montreal Motorcycle Show The other busy MMIC show, with a reputation for more fun than the TO show. The last in this series of industry-managed shows, it once again runs at the Palais de congres de Montreal. This year’s dates are February 23-25; more info here.

Toronto International Spring Motorcycle Show The last moto show in Toronto for the season, and generally the last on the schedule for the country. Runs at the International Centre again. Far as we’ve heard, the 2024 show is on, but no dates are announced yet. Follow the show’s website for that announcement when it happens.
