The clever chaps over at UK website BikeSocial have somehow got their hands on a set of Ducati spy snaps showing not one, but two machines to come from Bologna.
First up, they’re giving us a glimpse of the new Ducati Monster, likely an 800, since it’s presumably built around the same liquid-cooled 821 cc motor that’s found in the Hyperstrada and Hypermotard. The move towards liquid-cooled Monsters (The new Monster 1200 sports a radiator as well) is, of course, a result of tightening emissions laws.
There’s a lot of shared ground between this bike and the Monster 1200; the chassis, fuel tank, exhaust and seat all look pretty much the same. However, this 800 sports a less-trick double-sided swingarm.
Don’t worry, though, if you’re a fan of the current Monster 796; it seems its air-cooled engine will live on in the Ducati Scrambler model, seen in the gallery below. BikeSocial also managed to grab some snaps of this machine, which is certainly looking a more developed than the last version we saw.

[…] going for retro-style bodywork on the Scrambler, as opposed to the angular look we saw on some previous spy photos. Sure it has a V-twin instead of a single, but it actually does look like it could be a descendant […]
Should those bars on the Scrambler get any higher, they’ll qualify as ape-hangers. Amazing, really.
