KTM’s new 390 Duke was one of the hottest new bikes at Milan. But wait, there’s more! KTM CEO Stefan Pierer has confirmed there are new versions of the bike en route.
In an interview with India’s CNBC-TV18, the KTM bigwig says his firm plans to introduce new models in conjunction with Bajaj every six months. Specifically, he says they’re working on a fully-faired version of the 390 Duke, as well as a touring-centred version.
Now, looking back a bit further, we know KTM talked to their dealers about a 390-based sport bike and “enduro” bike. Maybe that enduro bike is an adventure tourer? If the CEO was telling the truth, we’ll know in a few months.
There’s a rumoured Moto3-derived street bike in the works. I hope this is the beast to which he alludes.
