After we posted the Dawn ’til Dusk map, a few people pointed out some shortcomings in our route.
The biggest problem was that it’s far more expensive to leave PEI by ferry than it is by the Confederation Bridge – around $40 vs. around $16, which would, as someone noted, would be enough cash to cover your gas for the day.
So, we’ve re-designed the route. It still starts and ends in Aulac, but now it goes through Nova Scotia first, crosses to PEI at the Wood Islands/Caribou ferry, then again goes to the north shore, back down to the Confederation Bridge, and back to Aulac. Simply, really!
There won’t be any charge for this ride, because it’s all about having a bit of fun on your small bike (250cc or less!) at the end of the riding season. We are thinking of getting some T-shirts made up if you want one, though.
Check out the route below. And remember, if you have any questions or comments, or just want to let us know you’re going to be there, email me.

Not much gas between Amherst and Advocate Harbour (did it by car in 2007 and almost ran out).
That’s what we have jerry cans for, I guess…
I would love to join in on my WR250X! Sadly, it will not fit my schedule. 🙁
Ah c’mon Greg, it’s only 1300 or so kms from you … Makes a nice weekend away! 🙂
