The Motorcyclists Confederation of
Canada is looking for a new boss.

Qualifications for the job include,
naturally, a strong interest in all things motorcycle, but also the
ability to lead a team, to work for a national organization that
lobbies governments and influences people across the country, and to
form bonds with other relevant organizations.

The MCC president will be responsible
for drawing up long-term plans, overseeing the finances and planning
for financial growth, working on bylaws, guiding councils of the MCC
that look at different aspects of riding, such as off-road riding and
female riders, and more.

The president will have to work
evenings and weekends on occasion. He or she will have some
post-high-school education, good English skills and maybe French,
too, organizational skills, juggling skills, and marketing and
promotions skills. A designation from CAE would be an asset, they
say.

Of course, the new president will be
familiar with motorcycling issues in Canada. Three to five years of
experience in association leadership and management is required. The
new boss will work with one staff person at the MCC office in Markham, Ontario.

Send your application with salary
expectations to the MCC at 3000 Steeles Ave. East, Suite 202,
Markham, Ont., L3R 4T9. For more info on the MCC, see their
website.
