BMW has significantly upgraded its C Evolution electric scooter, by introducing a new version with 50 per cent more range.
When introduced to the market two years ago, the C Evolution had a 100-km range. Now, BMW has brought out a “Long Range” model with a different battery pack (taken from their i3 electric car, bringing capacity from 60 Ah to 94 Ah), and is claiming a 100-mile range, which works out to 160 km.
Other tweaks mean the scooter is rated for 48 hp. Top speed is now 129 km/h. The 0-100 km/h rating is now 6.8 seconds.
There are actually two versions of the C Evolution scooter now; the other detuned model (for learners) has only 15 hp and a 100-km range.
BMW has announced they will bring the C Evolution to the US for 2017, but there is no word yet on whether it will come to Canada. Currently, the only BMW scoot sold in Canada is the C650GT.
As always… yay canada…
Still waiting…. and waiting… Come on BMW isn’t it about time ?
would love to see the C evolution in Canada as an alternative to my Zero.
From the lack of comments, this appears to be a case of ‘who cares…’
