Honda teases new prototypes at Osaka Motorcycle Show

Honda continues to give us teases of the future at the Osaka Motorcycle Show, with photos of the CRF250 Rally, the new CB1100 cafe concept, and an upgraded Africa Twin.

For months now, Honda has been showing the CRF250 Rally at shows. It seems reception must have been positive, as the bike is now at prototype stage, instead of a lowly concept. The Rally at Osaka is a bit different from the bike above, as they continue to refine the machine, and the production version will likely be refined yet again. See CRF250 Rally photos from Osaka here.

The CB1100 concept that’s been spotted recently popped up at Osaka as well. This appears to be Honda’s attempt to tart up their CB1100 standard that debuted in Canada back in 2013. Retro is the flavour of the day, and this bike delivers with a cafe bum-stop seat, under-bar mirrors, piggyback shocks, wire wheels, and the like. See photos of that bike here.

The Honda Africa Twin also got a restyling at Osaka. This bike appears to be a similar effort to BMW’s adventure-friendly version of the GS models. Dubbed the Africa Twin Adventure Sports concept, the bike appears to be more dirt-friendly than the standard model. The luggage rack, tail, and seat are aimed at off-road use, and there’s a beefy aluminum skid plate to fend off boulders. See the Africa Twin machine at Visordown here.
