Red Bull Straight Rhythm to run will air live

Red Bull Straight Rhythm, an off-road event that combines freestyle MX and drag racing, is back for 2015, and this year it will air live on October 10, at 3:30 PM ET.

When it first was announced in 2014, Straight Rhythm promised a straight, half-mile-long track with lots and lots of whoops and jumps, in head-to-head elimination races. Think, supercross track with no turns, or drag race-meets-MX. There was a 250 cc class and an open class (which gave Travis Pastrana a chance to run his custom 500 cc two-stroke, much to the delight of fans). Red Bull invited 32 competitors to the event, and James Stewart won the open class. Marvin Musquin won the 250 class.

This year, Straight Rhythm runs live on Red Bull TV, a media channel that’s available for free on Amazon Fire TV, Kindle Fire, Xbox 360 devices, and its Android and iOS phones/tablets. Fans will also be able to watch an edited version on November 29th on NBC as part of the Red Bull Signature Series. James Stewart and Marvin Musquin back for 2015, along with Ryan Dungey, Ken Roczen, Justin Brayton, Marvin Musquin and Andrew Short. In all, 16 riders are in the open class, and eight riders are entered in the 250 class.
