If you’re going to be at this weekend’s Canadian Superbike Championship race at Mirabel, Quebec’s Circuit ICAR, keep your eyes peeled – not all the high-speed action will be going down on the track.

Calgary’s Fox Family Roadracing has managed to wrangle the Canadian Snowbirds aerobatics team into putting on a 10-minute show at Saturday’s race, starting around 12:45 p.m.

The Snowbirds, comprised of pilots from 431 Squadron of the Canadian Forces flying CT-114 Tutors, have never performed at a motorcycle racing event in Canada before, but hopefully this won’t be the last time. Race organizers are trying to get the team to put on a complete 40-minute airshow at a Canadian Superbike race sometime in 2012.
