Anybody seriously interested in adventure riding should know about Horizons Unlimited and their mission of promoting travel (if not, click here!). This Ontario meet-up is just one more example of their regional gatherings, pulling riders together for a weekend to hear inspirational stories from the road, learn handy skills (photography, navigation, filming, first aid, etc.).

Although there are how-to lectures, HU events don’t have an emphasis on riding schools — they typically focus on other aspects of travel. If you’re wondering how to cross borders in South America, how to choose between soft luggage or hard luggage, or other similar questions, this is the place to go, with a comprehensive lineup of experienced presenters giving their advice. Registration kicks off at 4 PM Friday, presentations begin at 6 PM. The event closes at noon on Sunday. You can pre-register and get a look at the schedule here, as well as costs. Pricing can range from a $59 two-day pass to a $79 full pass. Accommodations and food are extra.
