How do you celebrate a win at an off-road race? If you’re Triumph, you release a pair of special edition bikes, for sale for one year only. That’s what the new 2024 Tiger 900 Rally Aragon Edition and Tiger 900 GT Aragon Edition models are. They’re celebrating Triumph’s win at the Baja Aragon race last year, showing that Hinkley’s big ADV bikes are indeed capable off-road.

The Baja Aragon is one of a long list of Euro rally-style races that allow big bikes (unlike the Dakar Rally and other FIM rally raid events, which are limited to piddly 450cc machines). Last year at Aragon, Ivan Cervantes (a well-known name from enduro and rally racing) took first aboard a Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro, more than an hour ahead of his closest competition in the 450-kilometer event. So, now we get two commemorative bikes to celebrate that victory!

Unfortunately, the Tiger 900 Rally Aragon Edition and Tiger 900 GT Aragon Edition do not seem to get any major hard parts upgraded—no boost to the engine (still 64 lb-ft of torque at 7,250 rpm and 94 horsepower at 8,750 rpm), no updated suspension. Don’t get mad at Hinkley for this, blame regulators, who make it financially unfeasible to go tweaking important parts without filling out a bunch of expensive paperwork. We do see a set of engine crashbars on the GT model, and a set of engine and gas tank crashbars on the Rally model.

Aside from that, we get a flashy paint job, only available on these ’24 models. As per the PR:

“Both Tiger 900 Aragón editions deliver all the specification, technology, and capability that the market-leading Tiger 900 GT Pro and Rally Pro are known for. Their advanced performance, accompanied by two fresh new looks, preserves the ultimate feel of aggression and attitude, while also adding that race-ready edge.

The Tiger 900 Rally Aragón dons a triple color of Matte Phantom Black, Matte Graphite, and Crystal White, featuring distinct Racing Yellow accents paired seamlessly with Triumph Tiger and Aragón Edition detailing, as well as a new and unique twin color seat design.

The GT Aragón follows suit with Triumph Tiger and Aragón Edition detailing, in addition to a refreshing twin color seat design, but instead features a triple color scheme of Diablo Red, Matte Phantom Black, and Crystal White to echo a bold and elegant feel.”

The new bikes will be in dealerships starting this July (2023), with a $19,795 MSRP for the Rally model and a $18,895 MSRP for the GT model.
