Harley-Davidson’s major news this week was the reveal of the Nightster Special, the return of the Breakout, the unveiling of the new Road Glide 3 … and the launch of its 120th Anniversary commemorative models. Yep, H-D turns the big 1-2-0 in 2023, and along with the lineup of special-edition bikes, it’s also hosting a party at its home base in to celebrate.
The biggest news for the July 13-16 celebration is a weekend-long concert. As part of the fun, Harley’s signed up Green Day and the Foo Fighters to play at Milwaukee’s downtown Veterans Park. Also playing over the weekend: Cody Jinks, Social Distortion, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Phantogram, White Reaper, and KennyHoopla. Green Day plays an evening concert on July 14, Foo Fighters play play July 15. Tickets are already on sale for VIP and general admission seats—see more here.
Along with the concert, over the July weekend Harley-Davidson will also host free live music, food/beverage sites, and riding skills demonstrations at its 20-acre museum campus. There’s stuff going on outside the downtown area, too; at the Menomonee Falls plant, visitors can get a guided factory tour to see the production line for the Milwaukee Eight and Revolution Max engines. The MoCo is also hosting demo rides and product displays there. Local dealerships House of Harley-Davidson (Greenfield), Milwaukee Harley-Davidson (Milwaukee), Suburban Motors Harley-Davidson (Thiensville), Uke’s Harley-Davidson (Kenosha), West Bend Harley-Davidson (West Bend) and Wisconsin Harley-Davidson (Oconomowoc) are also hosting events and entertainment over the weekend.
And as you’d expect at this sort of thing, the party wraps up with a massive parade ride through Milwaukee on the closing Sunday.
