Aprilia has been teasing us with the return of the Tuareg 660 for quite some time but has finally announced official timing and Canadian pricing. The company is saying that it will be hitting North American dealers in February 2022 and will be available through an online prebooking program for those who want to reserve one for themselves starting Wednesday, November 10th. Potential customers are told to visit Aprilia.com to configure their bike and select the dealer of choice.
Developed on the same platform as the RS 660 and Tuono 660, the Tuareg was built for off-road capability and on road comfort by offering a narrow body, wide handlebars and long suspension travel. Weighing 187 kg (412 lb) but boasting 80 hp and 51 lb-ft of torque, the Tuareg appears as though it will provide an excellent power-to-weight ratio.
Other highlights include LED lighting, a 5-inch colour TFT instrument display, ride-by-wire, traction control, cruise control, and four customizable riding modes. Pricing starts at $14,595 for the Acid Gold and Martian Red versions while the nostalgic livery known as Idaco Tagelmust starts at $15,195 CAD.
