Triumph releases Tiger 900 Bond Edition

This bike’s name is Bond, Jameshhh Bond. Or, er, the Triumph Tiger 900 Bond Edition.

With the latest 007 movie set to start its much-delayed theatre run next month (No Time to Die, starring Daniel Craig again—trailer here), Triumph’s put this Tiger 900 Bond Edition out, to celebrate the film.

Triumph has tied itself closely to Bond films in recent years, and the Tiger 900 appears in the latest 007 flick. Although the movie is just about to be released, unfortunately you cannot purchase the Tiger 900 Bond Edition right away; deliveries don’t start until next May or June.

When it gets to Canada, the Tiger 900 Bond Edition will have a $22,800 MSRP. That’s a lot more than the top-of-the-range Triumph Tiger Rally 900 Pro, which carries a $19,800 price tag. What are you getting for the extra three grand?

Well—you’re getting a lot of flashy finishes, including Matt Sapphire Black paint, lots of 007 logos, and some blacked-out trim (crash bars, skid plate, and so on). Triumph even built the TFT screen to play the famous James Bon gun barrel title sequence, when you turn the bike on. Very cool, although none of this boosts performance. There is a new stainless steel muffler, from Triumph’s usual collaborator Arrow, but even this probably does nothing to boost performance—it just looks and sounds cool.

Triumph did put heated seats on this bike (again, with Bond branding), and you also get Michelin Anakee Wild tires fitted from the factory (more pavement-friendly Bridgestone Battlax tires also included).

Only 250 of these bikes will be built, with each machine bearing its individual number on its billet triple clamp. Of course, Canada will only see a fraction of those bikes, so if you want one, talk to your dealer ASAP and be ready to wait for spring to actually get the bike.

  1. Triumph, please refrain from cross branding. It dates your product, and trivializes what you do. It’s all just so pedestrian.
