(Probably) Not coming to Canada: The Benelli BN251

Benelli might not be producing the wild exotica they once did, but the Italian firm (now under Chinese ownership) is still plugging away, and they’ve just announced another quarter-litre entry bike, the BN251.

Last we heard, Benelli was imported into the US, but they weren’t coming into Canada anytime soon. So if you want this bike, good luck! But here are the details.

The BN251 has a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine that makes 25 hp at 9,000 rpm and 21.5 Nm of torque at 7500 rpm. The engine is a stressed member of the chassis, working in conjunction with an attractive steel trestle frame. Front forks are beefy 41 mm USD units. The 280 mm front brake disc is also substantial, and is mated to a four-piston caliper. The 240 mm disc in rear has a two-piston caliper. The bike has Delphi EFI, and is Euro 3-compliant.
