The Victory Octane is coming to market soon.
No, that isn’t the name of a new blend of gasoline. That’s the name of Victory’s new model that’s meant to fill the high-performance niche they’ve talked about for months now. It started last spring, when Victory announced a machine titled Project 156, named for Pikes Peak’s 156 corners. They raced the bike there, encountered a few issues, and then went on to build two custom motorcycles around the same performance theme.
Now, with the teaser video above, Victory has announced they’re introducing a new bike to their lineup with the same emphasis on performance — or at least, that’s what much of the moto-press is assuming. The video doesn’t promise anything other than a bike that can do burnouts, and the rear fender looks very unlike anything associated with Project 156. In fact, the video looks a lot more like we can expect a new muscle cruiser, rather than a tracker-styled machine.
In any case, we’ll know for sure on February 19.
Looks kind of Rotax-ish.
