Harley-Davidsons usually have great aftermarket support, but it’s taken a while for the aftermarket to get behind the new Street 500 and Street 750 models. EasyBrackets’ new saddlebag system is one of the first steps towards that direction.
When you’re just riding around town, the first thing most riders add to their bikes is a new exhaust (which, coincidentally, is the only other aftermarket accessory that’s readily available for the Street models right now). If you want to hit the open road, though, you’ll need to strap on some luggage. The EasyBrackets system (also available for many other motorcycles) should help with that.
You can find more details on EasyBrackets’ site here, but essentially, it’s a quick-remove system for saddlebags, costing around $160 US.
Presumably, we’ll soon see other touring-friendly accessories for these bikes soon. Harley-Davidson lists several official add-on bits on their website (windscreen, engine guards, etc.), but generally speaking, aftermarket suppliers offer better pricing. Once we start to see this stuff available in decent quantities, we’ll let you know.
