EICMA’s not just about new product. Here’s few photo galleries of one offs and customs.
THE ODDITIES
And in touring mode …
Now this is a funky way of making an electric bike.
Vespa trike conversion! Why don’t they make all trikes this useful?
There was also a vintage display. This would make a great road rage bike.
If only KYMCO did more of this kind of thing.
There always has to be one unridable v-twin custom. The good thing about EICMA is that there was actually only one.
I couldn’t find a power source on this so maybe you just start at the top of a very big hill and have a jolly good ride. One way.
The was on the Hero stand. Seems to run on some unknown and undiscovered energy source, so definitely not a production bike then
This is kinda cool. You stand on it and ride it a little like a jet ski, only you’re on land, not water.
I think I’ll have to steal this idea for the next CMG show!
ADVENTURE
Honda’s Dakar race bike
Yamaha’s XT660 is now in Motard form but has yet to get to North America. Maybe the new Honda adventure bike will push them to bring it in.
Yamaha Super Tenere fully kitted out.
Sadly Yamaha’s SR400 never made it to Canada, but here’s a look at one that’s been tweaked into Scramble mode.
And from another angle
SPECIALS
The BMW stand had a few specials in it. Here’s one of two.
And here’s the other one.
The boxer motored BMWs seem to be a favourite for customizers at EICMA
And again.
But why stick with the Boxer? This is BMW’s inline six, Mad Max style.
And here it is from another angle.
MV Agusta trying to tempt the police onto its product. Let’s not show this one to the RCMP.
The other popular bike to customize is Triumph’s Bonneville. Here is WW2 mode.
And seen from another angle.
This one gets the Scrambler makeover
And here’s one that’s been minimized a tad.
Always good to see the old Yamaha XS650 still around.

I think the RCMP should get a load of these.
