Here’s MV Agusta’s Tricruiser concept; their new adventure bike should take design cues from the machine.

At the recent press launch of the Rivale 800, MV Agusta president Giovani Castiglioni hinted at some of the features of an upcoming MV Agusta model that will be introduced on November 4th.

The Turismo Veloce 800 will be an adventure bike, more in the vein of the Ducati Multistrada than the BMW R1200GS. As the name suggests it will be powered by MV Agusta’s new 798 cc inline triple, and it will feature an all-new frame. Earlier guesses had the machine pegged as a sport tourer, like the Tricruiser concept they were showing off at EICMA in 2011.

The Veloce 800’s frame will include a unique rear subframe, first seen on the Tricruiser concept. It is a single-backbone subframe that will allow the use of large saddlebags, each capable of containing a full-face helmet, while maintaining a narrow overall width.

According to Castiglioni, it is the most significant new model of the three remaining models that will be released in 2014.
