Photos of a new 2014 BMW R1200RT are floating around the interwebz.
The shots, which supposedly originated with French publication MotoMag (and not MCN, as everyone is saying), show the new Beemer uses technology of existing bikes in the company’s lineup.
It’s got the water-cooled flat twin motor as seen in this year’s R1200GS, and it’s got the K1600’s adaptive headlights. Bodywork has been painted with a wild camo pattern, to throw off photogs and other nefarious spies.
I’ve seen Parachute pants with the same pattern! (Back in the 90s)
Looks like the passenger will actually get some foot room, not the norm on a lot of sport tourers.
Looks like a fairly simple “Sharpie” paint job to me. Makes for pretty effective camouflage.
Like WW2 dazzle camo,
