Friday Fudge

Welcome to Friday Fudge – a weekly round up of the more ‘unusual’ motorcycle related stories that are just too silly to post on their own, but raise a much bigger chortle when you slap them all together and take the piss.

Wheeled wonders

Here on Friday Fudge, we’ve shown you plenty of wacky motorcycle stunts from the developing world. Here’s another. We have no idea what inspired this rollerblade madness. In fact, we don’t know anything at all about it, except that it shows there are still plenty of motorcyclists out there with more guts than brains.

Not-so-wuthering heights

There are plenty of riders out there setting long distance records, or seeing how far they can jump a motorcycle. Some guys go out and build stretched scooters or motorcycles to get themselves in with Guinness. But, not everyone has their eyes set on such lofty prizes. No, some people are aiming at lesser records – like the world’s smallest backflip.

Grounded!

Will motorcycle riders have to carry out their own assassinations, now that they're banned from carrying passengers, gun-wielding or otherwise? It sure looks like this biker is on his way to collect on a contract ...

Taking your girlfriend out for a ride on your motorcycle is a long, time-honoured tradition. But that tradition is over in the Honduras, where the government has cracked down on two-wheeled passengers. That’s right – pillions are banned in the country for the next six months.

The reason behind the move? Apparently motorcycle-borne gunmen have been responsible for a couple of high-profile assassinations in the country recently, so the government thought a crackdown on motorcycle passengers could prolong their lifespan. We’ve got to ask, what happens when the gunmen start using cars instead? Is the government going to ban cars, too? Not that it’s a bad idea…

Clutch-dump disaster

There’s nothing cooler than red-lining your sportbike’s engine then dumping the clutch … then dumping your bike … into your car.

Busted!

Take this as a warning, all you scooter-riding cheaters out there. Photo: Chris Thomson/SWNS.com

What’s worse than being a “cheater, scum bag, evil boy, liar” to whom “every hole is a goal”?

How about having the whole world know about it, like the owner of this Vespa? The photo was shot near Hampstead, in London. Thankfully, that’s London in the U.K., not Ontario – we wouldn’t want an unworthy individual like this showing up for the Mad Bastard Scooter Rally … although a paint job like that would probably garner all sorts of mad points!
