The word is out – Yamaha is going to sell the Worldcrosser.

The Worldcrosser, essentially a beefed-up Super Tenere, has been making the show circuit as a concept bike for months now, but nobody knew if the machine would ever see the market. We know now that Yamaha intends to sell the machine – at least in Europe.

The dirt-oriented Worldcrosser has carbon-fiber side panels, aluminum skid plate, rear brake guard, frame and fork protectors, and a drive shaft shield as upgrades over the standard Super Tenere. These components will be supplied as a kit, which a dealer can fit to a standard Super Tenere.

There will also be an “R” version of the Worldcrosser, which will have an Akrapovic exhaust, carbon fiber heat shield, fog lights, and LED indicators.

European pricing for the Worldcrosser will be 15,690 Euros. We don’t know if the bike will ever make it to Canada, or what the price would be if it arrives.
