Horex’s VR6 is out for a test spin.
Horex’s VR6 is inching closer to production. Visordown.com reports the supercharged 1200cc V6, supposedly capable of over 200hp, has been spotted undergoing testing on streets and tracks.
Two different prototypes are being evaluated; one team is working on the bike’s suspension, the other on engine tuning.
Hennes Fischer, head of the bike’s development program, says the road testing is necessary to tweak the bike’s final suspension, frame geometry, and engine tuning, as computer simulations can never tell the whole story of a motorcycle prototype’s real-world performance.
He said they’ve already made changes to the design as a result of the testing, to improve handling.
