"Road warriors welcome," the website says. "We’ll get your motor runnin’." The converted building that will open this summer as the Iron Horse Hotel claims to represent the death of mundane hotel experiences in Milwaukee.
It’ll be located a few blocks from the new Harley-Davidson Museum, and will cater to a class of clientelle you might call "Business Bikers."
Features will include covered motorcycle parking, rag bins, a bike wash facility, a retail store with "rider accessories," space for your riding gear in the room, and in 2009, a hot tub and chilling pool. And if you ask them nice, room service will wax your bike. Well, maybe not.
