We don’t normally promote movies about motorcycle crashes, but this short entry in the Delta Fly-In competition is so well-made that we think it’s worth 10 minutes of your time.
It’s called “Morning Fall,” and it’s one of five finalists in the Fly-In competition.
The Fly-In winner goes to Sundance and wins a hunk of burnin’ change, but today’s the last day to put in your marker – so vote soon, and vote often.

Thanks for posting this. I agree that being reminded once in a while of riding’s inherent dangers might help us be a bit safer. The scene where he was ridng at night was familiar. I was riding along the north shore of Lake Superior and was tempted to push on through the night to get home in spite of warnings about moose. Common sense prevailed and I camped for the night. I’ll remember this clip next time I think about riding at night in wilder areas.
At first I thought it was going to be an anti-smoking film given the character’s single minded focus on lighting up. I especially like him tossing aside his first aid kit in the search for his lighter. Maybe that’s to show his state of shock.
I ride to work every day rain or shine. I am very aware of the potential risks of not being in a cage. I love riding and accept the risks of riding. We are the ones that can smell the morning dew on our way to work. This is a video that reveals the real life risks of riding. We must balance the risks versus the benefits of anything that we do and for me this video makes me reflect on the risks. Nevertheless this video is very well done. entertaining and makes the point of risk and love. I will continue to ride and enjoy every minute that I have.

What were we thinking? Well, we didn’t set out to attract hostile e-mail messages. We posted this story simply because it’s a very well-made short film about a motorcyclist. The fact that it reminds us in an artful way to be careful out there was beside the point. It’s a good film, and it’s about motorcycling. Period.
