Last month, Canadian manufacturer Campagna announced it was planning to build electric three-wheelers. Now, we’ve got an idea what those machines will look like, and some of the specs have been released as well.
The most important numbers, according to New Atlas: The electric T-rex will have two electric motors (sourced via Zero) which combine for 140 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque. Those motors are powered by a 26 kWh battery pack. Campagna says this will power the three-wheeler for almost 300 km of city usage (with the aid of regenerative braking re-charging the batteries, presumably). A mix of highway and city driving supposedly gives you a range of 225 km.
Top speed is said to be 180 km/h, with 0-100 km/h time of 3.2 seconds. Weight is a heft 599 kg, due to the bulky batteries.
The electric three-wheeler is supposed to be released later this season. MSRP is still unknown.
