Problem: On certain motorcycles, an electrical connection can be created via the brake line between the anti-lock brake (ABS) modulator and vehicle ground. If the wiring harness is frayed and contacts the ABS modulator, there is a potential for the brake line to conduct electricity, causing overheating and ultimately melting the brake line.
Correction:Â Dealers will inspect the wiring harness and re-position the wiring harness for the engine control unit.
Sold mine!
My Kawasaki has a recall on wiring too. It is good when companies acknowledge a problem and honour it! That is integrity.
Andre-Pierre Berube,
The kind of thing that makes me cringe when I think of buying a European bike (which I do)
I know the Japanese sometime have issues as well but I feel chances are still much better with them for rock solid reliability!
