Mopar and CSBK have renewed their sponsorship arrangement for another two years.

Under the terms of the new deal, Mopar will be the title sponsor of the Canadian Superbike Championship until the end of the 2016 series. The auto parts giant has been a sponsor of CSBK since 2011; they started their run as series title sponsor in 2012.

The move gives CSBK organizers a bit of breathing room; running a Canadian roadracing series is tough business, and the series looked to be in a tight spot a few years ago, when sponsorships started to dry up and manufacturers pulled out of the series. Now, though, things seem to have stabilized, and having a title sponsor to consistently anchor the series is a big part of that.

The 2015 CSBK season starts at the Calabogie track on the June 12-14 weekend; this summer, there are stops at St-Eustache (June 26-29), Edmonton (July 10-12), Shubenacadie (August 1-2) and Bowmanville (August 14-16).
