For years, KYMCO Canada has been the biggest sponsor and greatest supporter of the Mad Bastard Scooter Rally. Now, they’re going to be running the event.
Editor ‘Arris is handing the reins of the 2015 MBSR exclusively to KYMCO Canada. The deal is for the 2015 rally only and allows KYMCO to inject some fresh ideas and elements into the rally, although ‘Arris will still be available on a  consulting basis.
“We’ve always had a great working relationship since KYMCO first saw the potential of the rally quite a few years ago and jumped on board as the main sponsor.” said Editor ‘Arris.
“However, since moving out east, I’ve found it increasingly difficult to keep up with the ever-expanding Ontario event and am pleased to be able to place the 2015 rally in such capable hands. I’m looking forward to seeing what KYMCO can do with it and maybe even attend it as a participant at last. The move also frees up some time to focus on our new Fundy Adventure Rally that is a tad closer to home.”
KYMCO Canada’s Sabina Heilman added “KYMCO Canada is thrilled to be organizing the 2015 Mad Bastard Scooter Rally. As a long-time title sponsor, we have participated as rally organizers, co-rally masters, and of course, rally participants. With nearly a decade of exposure to the insanity of this event, we promise to stay true to MBSR’s core elements, but equally look forward to taking it up a notch! Editor ‘Arris will stay on as the asylum’s resident consultant, and may have the opportunity to finally get a taste of his own medicine if he dares to ride with the pack this time. Ah, revenge is sweet isn’t it? Dust off those scoots, and fire up those engines. You will not want to miss this one! “
