BMW won’t interfere with the operations of Husqvarna
motorcycles, according to a recent press release from BMW Group Canada.

BMW bought the Italian owned off-road
motorcycle manufacturer in September, claiming it would extend BMW’s
reach to include younger riders and the off-road and supermoto
sectors.

"With the transfer of ownership only
recently finalized, the Husqvarna brand will continue to operated
(sic) independently of the BMW Motorrad brand, the intention being to
retain and strengthen Husqvarna’s own well-established identity,"
the release states.

Husqvarna makes a range of cross
country, enduro, motocross, and supermoto models which will be available in a small number of Canadian dealerships.
