Kawasaki's Ninja 1000 got several updates for 2017; most importantly, Kawi included an Inertial Measurement Unit that allowed designers to add traction control, leaning ABS, and other rider's aids. There's also a new slipper clutch, a new dash, and some other tweaks. Horsepower is also up. This litrebike is aimed at real-world usage, with more weight and slower handling than the ZX-10 series.
