The F800GS Adventure adds luggage, a bigger gas tank, knobby tires and other practical bits to the standard GS and works well for riders who want to take their small GS further afield. The only downside is the added weight. Like the rest of BMW's 800 lineup, this bike gets ride-by-wire throttle, updated exhaust, Rain and Road riding modes and other optional modes, new gauges, and a few other minor tweaks.
