Just in time for winter, there’s a new superbike racing documentary on Netflix.
Titled Speed Is My Need, the Netflix write-up says “This daredevil documentary trails behind and into the minds of the biggest names in one of the world’s most dangerous sports, superbike racing.”
The trailer (see below) starts right off with a Colin Edwards interview, so that’s promising, at least. There’s some footage from the Isle of Man TT, and that’s also a promising sign. It’s also got interviews with Freddie Spencer, Leon Haslam, Ron Haslam and Peter Hickman. It’s directed by Mark Sloper.
If you want to watch it, get to it soon, because not only is riding season coming again in the spring, but Netflix always seems to cancel the best stuff just before you get around to seeing it.
