Calgary Motorcycle Show runs this weekend

The MMIC’s show season has begun, with the Friday-Sunday Calgary event running this weekend.

The show is at the BMO Centre in Stampede Park, and like all the MMIC shows, has an emphasis on the industry. You’ll see displays from most of the manufacturers there, and you might get a chance to see a 2020 machine before it appears in your local dealership.

It’s more than just bikes, though; the show also has plenty of retailers with motorcycle-related products. As always, there are vintage bike displays, a stunt show, custom motorcycle competitions, and the Yamaha Riding Academy, which allows kids to learn motorcycle basics aboard minibikes, indoors. Also, Kawasaki is giving away a Z400 motorcycle.

There are always plenty of ATVs and UTVs on display at the motorcycle show as well, and as always, Friday is ladies’ night.

Doors are open noon-9 PM on Friday,  10 AM-8 PM Saturday and 10 AM-5 PM Sunday. Tickets are $15 for adults (15-65), $12 for seniors (65+), $11 for juniors (6-14) and free for kids under 6. A family pass (two adults, two kids) is $42, and ladies get in for half price after 5 PM on Friday. For full details, visit the show’s website.
