Rene Cormier announces Canadian speaking dates

Adventure rider/tour guide Rene Cormier will soon be kicking off a round of visits to Canadian BMW dealerships, with a giveaway at every event.

Long-time CMG readers will remember we’ve interviewed Cormier about his adventures before, and his work has appeared here in the past.

He’s usually a fixture on the Canadian motorcycle show circuit, and his talks are both entertaining and informative. His  book “The University of Gravel Roads: Global Lessons From a Four-Year Motorcycle Adventure” won the Bronze medal in the 2010 Independent Publisher Book Awards and the 2010 Da Vinci Eye Award, and was a finalist in the Eric Hoffer Award for Short Prose and Independent Books. In other words, he knows how to spin a good story, and if you can make it to one of his talks, you should enjoy it.

Cormier’s talks are going to focus on his round-the-world trip aboard his BMW F650, taking four years on a budget of $25 a day to complete the 154,000 km journey. He visited 41 countries on the trip, and he’s got plenty of tales to share from the road. He’s also giving away a $1,000 gift certificate for a Renedian Adventures tour to someone in the audience at each show, so if you’re thinking of booking a tour with him, there’s extra incentive to show up.

You can see the full schedule of his speaking tour below.
