Would you like a faster F3 675? If so, then MV Agusta has essentially granted your wish with the new F3 800.

The F3 800 is very similar to the 675 – the three-cylinder sport bike has the same weight (381 lbs dry) and even the same bore. The stroke has been increased, though, and that extra engine capacity is supposedly good for another 20 hp (peak hp is claimed to be 148 hp at 13,000 rpm).

The bike features MV Agusta’s comprehensive MVICS electronics package (traction control, ride-by-wire, etc), fully adjustable Marzocchi fork and Sachs rear shock, and a new set of brakes with Brembo monobloc calipers. There’s a slipper clutch, too. There’s no word yet on Canadian availability or pricing.

As I understand it, the initial design was the 800, but MV Agusta decided to size-down the motor with a race-approved sizing first. The F3 800, therefore, is just a return to the original design concept.
