You can think of it as Honda coming full circle, under the auspices of Team Mugen.
Team Mugen, a longtime Honda collaborator, says they’ll be racing an electric bike from Big Red at the Isle of Man’s TT Zero race this year. That’s where Honda got their start in international motorcycle competition, way back in 1959, so in a way, they’re returning to their roots.
Except, of course, they’ll be doing it with the latest battery bike technology, going head to head with big names in the electric scene like MotoCzysz.
Honda and Mugen doing this with an eye towards the future, but remember – there’s also a 10,000 pound prize still up for grabs. The mega-dough will go to the first competitor to run the course with a 100 mph lap average.
